Supply & Demand Planner Role – POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED

Company Summary:

Allegro Limited is a long-established Distributor of consumer goods to the retail sector. We are a
nationwide distributor of over 4,000 products lines and represent leading blue-chip market brands in
Food, Household and Personal Care categories.

About the Role:

This is a dynamic, broad, and exciting role in a well-established and growing company. The main
purpose of the role is to manage the timely purchase, supply, and customs clearance of the
company’s product portfolio to deliver an excellent customer service experience.

Reporting To:

Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Collate and confirm purchase orders with suppliers as per agreed order schedules
• Manage relationship with suppliers to ensure purchase orders are received per agreed delivery
schedules and any supply issues are addressed in timely manner
• Work closely with Brand partners to ensure adherence to appropriate Incoterms for supply
purposes to ensure deliveries are received and cleared through customs formalities in agreement
with distribution agreements.
• Maintain product master data details to a high standard to support efficient processing of import
declarations
• Facilitate input of import declarations on AIS platform and ensure all declarations are processed
to Green routed status
• Engage with border control agencies and customs agents such as HSE, DFAM and Revenue, act
a lead contact for resolving import declaration queries in line with agreed delivery timelines
• Coordinate and facilitate an efficient data exchange of MRNs (Master Reference Number) with
our transport provider to ensure there are no delays with inbound consignments which must pass
through a customs procedure
• Work closely with colleagues to keep Goods In department informed on daily basis of any
changes to delivery schedule and priorities for checking in
• Act as liaison between purchasing and sales office to communicate updates on Out of Stock
(OOS). Preparation of necessary reports on OOS updates for sales team and key customers.
Manage the overall communication of supplier service levels to purchasing colleagues to ensure
that fulfilment rates from suppliers are maximised
• Ensure proper maintenance of system (Load Bay Scheduler) regarding product deliveries and
data updates, maintain accurate records and update IT systems as required.
• Liaise with warehouse personnel, stock control, finance and purchasing colleagues to ensure that
accurate stock quantities and valuations are maintained and that any variances are reconciled.
• Working on projects and continuous development planning within the Purchasing Department and
other relevant departments.
• Display a can-do attitude and set a positive tone and culture in dealings with colleagues
• Ensure good housekeeping practices including adherence to HACCP guidelines and ‘Clean as
you Go’ policy
• Adhere to Health & Safety requirements and all other practices as outlined in company handbook
• Contribute to suggestions for improvements in operational effectiveness and efficiency
• Liaise with 3PL warehouse providers to ensure that product deliveries are in line with agreed
delivery schedules

Requirements

• Experience in a similar role preferable
• Willingness to undertake further on the job training and education especially in areas such as
customs clearance formalities and systems training
• Experience with ERP systems plus good working knowledge of Excel is desirable.
