Brendan Coakley - Executive Chairman

Brendan qualified as an accountant with KPMG before working with a large chemical concern, BASF AG, in Germany.

Returning to Ireland in the early 80’s to join the family agricultural distribution business he went on to lead the company & become Managing Director in 1984.

Brendan then joined Gillespie & Co. Ltd in 1993 and following the merger of Gillespie & Allegro in 1999 he became Executive Chairman of Allegro.

Brendan brings a wealth of experience in the distribution sector to the business having been a Non – Executive Director / investor in a number of different enterprises.

In his free time, Brendan enjoys keeping fit, is a keen cyclist and tennis player.

Cillian Allegro

Cillian Molloy - Group Managing Director

Cillian joined the Allegro team in July 2018 and brings with him an abundance of experience spanning over 20 years in Finance, Manufacturing, Distribution and Brand Representation.

Cillian started his career as a financial accountant but quickly moved into general management as his preferred choice. He has managed businesses in private label manufacturing for export markets, wholesale distribution including the construction and hardware sector, but always with an emphasis on distribution to retail. He has worked with the wider Total Produce Group since 1999 in various roles with a 6 year sabbatical in-between. He has a record of successful delivery on change management projects including technology transformation and continuous improvement initiatives as a way to improve customer service and overall business performance. A graduate of DIT Business School and FCCA, Cillian recently completed a MBS in Innovation and Leadership.

When not working Cillian enjoys spending time with his young family. In his spare time he enjoys keeping fit, is a keen rugby supporter, golfer and also helps to coach his kids’ teams with his local GAA club.

Tadhg McCarthy:

Tadhg McCarthy - Group Finance Director

Tadhg Joined the Allegro team in May 2016 as finance director.

An experienced senior finance professional Tadhg has gained considerable FMCG experience in both Ireland and the UK, working in leading Irish companies and international multinationals. While the role has many demands, it’s the commercial element of the job that he finds most rewarding, working with both suppliers and customers to create sustainable improvements within the value chain.

Tadhg is a member of the ACCA, has completed an executive MBA with the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, and participated in the IMI Business Transform programme.

For fun, you’ll find Tadhg in the great outdoors, whether it’s a relaxing walk with his wife and dogs, or an adventure on the water either kayaking or sailing.

Joe Butler

Joe Butler - Commercial Director

Joe joined the Allegro team in 2017 as Commercial Director. A well-established professional in the Irish FMCG market, he brings with him a wealth of experience across many sectors including Food, Personal Care and Manufacturing.

Joe has held senior managerial positions as Sales and Commercial Director in a variety of international and local businesses and places huge emphasis on teamwork, focusing his energy on supporting and motivating teams to achieve success.

Joe is a proactive forward thinker and believes in taking a hands on approach. He has strong relationships with retailers across all channels and is well accustomed to delivering to KPI’s. He enjoys the fast pace of FMCG and brings great energy to the business.

Joe is a keen Rugby and GAA supporter and loves nothing more than seeing his beloved Munster win the Heineken Cup or Tipp win the Liam McCarthy.

Mandy Greene

Mandy Greene - Operations Manager

Mandy joined the purchasing department of Allegro in 2001 and with over 17 years’ experience in Purchasing, Stock Management, Warehousing and Logistics she took up her current role as Operations Manager in 2017. Mandy’s role as Operations Manager is to oversee the Supply Chain process which involves supporting our Customer Service & Procurement teams along with the successful partnership held with our third party logistics provider – Pulse Logistics.

With such a wealth of experience Mandy is a key go person within the business. She enjoys working in a busy and fast paced environment where each day brings with it new challenges and opportunities.

Mandy is our social guru and always has her finger on the pulse of what’s happening about town. She loves nothing better than organising Allegro’s busy social calendar which is a key part in developing general comradeship & building what has become a strong cross functional team.

Paul Finnegan - Beiersdorf Business Unit Manager

Paul joined Allegro team in January 2018, initially overseeing the Pharmacy Channel prior to taking up his current position heading up the Beiersdorf Business Unit.

With over a decade’s experience in the Health, Beauty and Personal Care industry, he has worked across various retail and distribution roles representing market leading brands servicing both the Grocery and Pharmacy channels in Ireland.

This is underpinned by his passion for building brands, managing the customer relationship and engaging the wider team to successfully activate our strategy in each of these channels.

A graduate of DIT, Paul holds a BSc in Retail & Services Management, a Masters Degree in Business Studies and is a member of the Marketing Institute of Ireland.

In his spare time you will find Paul out and about with his young family or on a rare night off taking in a good restaurant!

Emma Coburn - Coty Business Unit Manager

Emma joined Allegro in 2016 with an established background in sales and marketing as a result of working in both Ireland and the UK markets. Emma has a love of brands built on her experience working for leading manufacturers in the food, household and personal care sectors.

Finding new brands for the future and working with their owners to build these brands in the Irish market place is a key part of Emma’s role. This also involves working closely with buyers and category managers to support existing brands and introduce new products into the market place. She relishes the fast pace of the market and the fact that every day brings a new set of opportunities and challenges.

Emma has a BA (Hons) in Business and Politics from TCD. As a keen gardener with a passion for begonias and dahlia’s there is always change and growth to see as the year evolves. A beehive is planned, to help the garden.

Orlaith Delamere - Food Business Unit Manager

Orlaith joined the Allegro team in 2016 working in a National Account Management role within the retail channel.

Orlaith brings with her a wealth of experience having worked on both the retailer and supplier side of the retail industry for the past 11 years. Over 7 years spent learning the ropes in Superquinn and more latterly the Musgrave group as part of the commercial buying team has given Orlaith a comprehensive understanding as to how to manage brands in the Irish marketplace.

2018 saw the development of a significant Food division within the Allegro commercial team. Orlaith proudly leads this team in the role of Food Business Manager.

Having a B.A degree in Germans and Anthropology and MSc in Real Estate Orlaith considers herself ‘well rounded’. In her spare time Orlaith can be found walking her beloved dogs or trying not to injure herself whilst skiing with friends.

Allegro-john

John Hayes - Grocery Field Sales Manager

John joined Allegro in 2015 with a long established background in Sales, in both Unilever and Kelkin. He spent 25 year working in Unilever in various sales roles from Field sales representative to National Account Manager and lastly to managing 5 field sales divisions within Unilever.

After Unilever he moved to General Sales Manager in Kelkin and gained great experience partnering with brand owners in the selling and distribution of their brands. He managed both the National Accounts team and the Field Sales team for 5 years in Kelkin before joining the team in Allegro. John has completed an executive M.sc in Sales with the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, and is very passionate about people coaching, and obtaining the optimum performance from his team.

He is a qualified EUFA soccer coach and was capped at junior level for Ireland eight times, three of which he captained the side.  He is enthusiastic supporter of all sports and is a firm believer in encouraging and maintaining young people’s participation in a sport at any level.

Sarah Murphy - Personal Care Business Unit Manager

Sarah joined the Allegro team in 2020 with a background in sales and marketing working across various personal care & baby brands within the FMCG Market.

She focuses on building lifelong relationships with her clients and tailors all her energy into developing brands and finding new opportunities within the market to engage with. Finding a niche market or drawing on current trends is her key to building brand growth whilst enjoying the fun of the chase along the way.

Sarah enjoys the adventure of exploring new destinations from her various travels across the world & at home here in Ireland. She is an avid Liverpool fan & can be found shouting at a tv screen most weekends!

Anna Keogh –Training Manager

Anna joined Allegro in March 2020 and brings with her a wealth of experience in luxury cosmetics.

Having worked with the some of the largest global brands within the luxury cosmetic sector , Anna’s knowledge of the business is immense.

An ultimate team player , Anna relishes the challenge  of achieving success as part of a team,  working collectively to accomplish  both company and brand objectives across Sales, Marketing and Training divisions.   She has a very open style in relation to sharing idea’s, strategy and product information with both colleagues and clients within the luxury cosmetic retail environment.

When not working, Anna enjoys time in the garden, cooking up a storm, trying to improve her yoga practice,  supporting all things green in rugby and soccer terms, visiting galleries and drinking delicious coffee!

Niamh Wilson - Luxury@Allegro Division Manager

Niamh joined the Allegro team in 2020 bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in sales, marketing & brand management within the Luxury fragrance and beauty industry.  Over her 12 year career she has worked with some of the leading global luxury and premium brands.

With a genuine passion for the industry, she enjoys building a partnership with the brand owners & retailers to build successful bespoke plans for the Irish market.

A team player at heart, she enjoys the challenge of achieving success as a team, working collaboratively together to achieve all sales, brand and business targets that have been set.

In her free time she loves catching up with friends, visiting family in the beautiful North West of Ireland, walking the golden beaches and jumping into the clear North Atlantic sea. Every year she counts down the days to her annual ski holiday.
