Brendan qualified as an accountant with KPMG before working with a large chemical concern, BASF AG, in Germany. Returning to Ireland in the early 80’s to join the family agricultural distribution business he went on to lead the company & become Managing Director in 1984. Brendan then joined Gillespie & Co. Ltd in 1993 and following the merger of Gillespie & Allegro in 1999 he became Chairman of Allegro.

Brendan brings a wealth of experience in the distribution sector to the business having been a Non – Executive Director / investor in a number of different enterprises.

In his free time, Brendan enjoys keeping fit, is a keen cyclist and tennis player.
